Me as an agronomist

On the future I’ll be an agronomist I think the most of the student that are in this major didn’t like to work indoors I think almost all of them like the outdoor working. In this career we had so many areas of what we can do, some of them like working with plagues or plant diseases, work in the SAG, work as a fruit farmer, work with animals and meet or milk production, work in plant nutrition, work in soils, water managing and a lot of other things that we can do. In fact I don’t really know what I’ll be working in the future; the only certain thing that I know is that I’ll be living in Puyangue or another rural place on the South. If I could choose my work I’ll choose to work with little farmers, trying to improve the rural areas so that way people will stop migrating to the big cities, making that the people take the food sovereignty into their own hands and stop selling the terrains to the big industry that degraded them. Another thing that I would like to do is work in the managing of water. Today the water scarcity is a problem in the world, and the agriculture is the discipline that uses the most quantity of water to produce, in that context today the farmers irrigate in a bad way their crops wasting a lot of water, so I would like to help to improve that situation. Another problem with the water is the distribution of it, some farmers or industry’s take big amount of water and let very little to another farmers.
About traveling, I don’t really think about it because as I said I want to live in the South in a very peaceful house and traveling around Chile.

Thanks for read it. !
