Golden fish

Many years later as he faced the firing squad, Colonel Aureliano Buendía was to remember that distant afternoon when his father took him to discover ice. That´s the beginning of my favorite book and one of the most exiting books of the world: One hundred years of solitude. It showed us the history of the Buendía family and his life in Macondo, during the book, both, the Buendía family and Macondo pass through highs and lows In this book of Gabriel Garcia Marquez the quotidian life is mixed with the magic in such a natural way, some examples are the yellow flowers rain when Melquiades pass away, the fly of Remedios the beauty, the yellow butterflies of the Amarant and Mauricio Babilonia romance, the torrential rain that last years and years and bring Macondo into the ruin, the sleeplessness fever that makes the town fall into the amnesia, between others. The characters are so unique; they all have a story that makes you want the books never ends. My favorite character is the coronel Aureliano Buendía, that lost 2,000 wars but he never dies, he was a lonely man even when he had 18 sons, and 17 of them died with a shot on the forehead. Although the coronel is my favorite character, there is a lot of others that are very close to him: Ursula, Melquiades, Aureliano José, Remedios the beauty, José Arcadio between others. I’m so glad with Garcia Marquez because the legacy of his books, he made an entire world between them, he connect one book with the other, and all of them are wonderful. Others authors that I really like are Cortazar, Vargas Llosa, J.K.Rowling and others.

My favorite books are: One hundred years of solitude, Rayuela, The city and the dogs, the war of the end of the world and many others.

Thanks for read it. Goodbye.

  1. One hundred years of solitude is really a master piece, between the reality and the magic of the past, leaves a void when you finish the book... and now what?
