the last post

Hi bloggers! This is my first english course and I have founded it very interesting. It helps me a lot with some new words and pronunciation. The blogs system also was very fun and useful because today we are used to use the web platforms and pages like Facebook and others so it was like writing on our Facebook page but in English and I had a great time writing what I think about things like books or vacations. Also, it was very interesting to read what our classmates write about the topics so in a way we learn some things about them.
The aspects that I need to improve more are the speaking and writing, it’s hard for me to speak with confidence, I always overthink what to say because I’m afraid to say something wrong. In that way, this course helps me a lot and I’m planning to keep improving this aspect by watching movies and series in English, listening their pronunciation and learning new words. Also, I’m planning to do another English course outside the university.
Outside of the English class I use English to read the latest chapters of my favorite mangas jajaja. Also, this year we needed to do a lot of works in the career and most of the information that we should check is available in English, most of the investigation are in that language so we need to read a lot of papers and reviews. Next year that will be multiplicated x 1000 because we will do the monography so we will need to read a lot of papers and stuff like that.
English will be important to we as agronomists, to make contacts in other markets, to use new technology and a lot of things.

I’m satisfied with this course, see you guys in the university!

career program

Hi bloggers ¡ today we have to talk about our career program. Well, I think that is quite well made it, but I also think that has a few problems on it. For example the subjects that are related to the economy department are (in my opinion) not as good as they could. Also I think that in the regular program are too many of this subjects and I think that they are unnecessary, maybe I would remove 2 of them and add a programation subject that it’s a tool that the faculty doesn’t give us and I think it’s very necessary for us because is part of being an engineer and learn how to manage some new technologies that we will need to use in our work. Also I think that the Practices are given in a wrong way, most of the student don’t learn anything in this classes, and this subjects doesn’t have any of practice, they are just theoretical classes and the program is very poor in the practice way.
Another problem that I see is that during the career we barely go outside to see farms or places related to our career, most of the time we spend in the classroom even when our career demand us to take what we are learning and relate it to the crops.
I love the fourth semester of our career even when is the hardest one. Physiology, fertilization, genetics and irrigation are so interesting. The best classes I think that are in the biochemistry class, physiology and enology process, the teachers are passionate to the subject and they really have knowledge of the topic they are teaching us.

I love our career, I hope you do it too. Thanks for read it !

This Holidays

Hi bloggers ¡ Todays topic is about what we are going to do this summer holidays. First, this semester ends January 16th, so is half month less of vacations. I will work after the semester ends because it’s important that we as agronomist earn some experience during summers. That way when we finish our career we already know some things and it’s less difficult to us to find a job. I have applied for a job and I hope they call me, it will be for 3 weeks in Los Andes pollinating soybeans. After that I’ll go to my family house in puyangue, and maybe stay there for a week, after that me and my girlfriend will go to some places I already know like: Huerquehue National Park, Alerce Adino National park, Chiloe, Chaiten and/or FutaleufĂș. I love those places and I have no problem to go there as many times as I can, always with different people to show them those places. Another place I will like to go is Torres del Paine National Park, I know this place is amazing and I want to know it, but I think maybe I need more time to prepare de trip, planning it with more friends and also, I think the tickets to go there are expensive if you don’t buy them with anticipation.
I really hope to have time to know new places, I would like to visit the Queulat or Caleta Tortel.
Also I hope that this summer I could play so much basketball jajaj.

Well that’s all guys, thanks for read it.

Medicinal plants

Hi guys! Today’s topic is medicinal plants, I don’t know much about them, but what I know is that conventional medicine comes from them. I don’t like to use drugs, when I feel sick I just drink a lot of water and I wait until I feel better. I think that illness ( the common ones, not the cronic diseases), it’s just a response of our body to an stress, so it’s natural the Temperature, the headaches, stomach ache, are very common and our body is prepare to deal with them, I think the use of drugs it’s just a way to make the body get use to be less resilient. When I had a headache (and I have it very often) if it’s a strong one I drink a tea with ginger, I’ve heard that ginger is a natural anti-inflammatory and also have a lot of benefits to the body.
Most of the principal components of the drugs are present in nature, like  salicylic acid that is present in a lot of drugs like the aspirina for example, comes from the willow.
Another thing to have in mind is that we can take advantage of most of the benefits that  nature gives us  by eating them and having a balanced diet, wine, red fruits and vegetables, the green ones, every vegetable has its own benefits and compounds that we can take.

Well I think that’s all I have to tell you about medicinal plants, to finish I just had to say that to have a better life we should drink wine every day jajaja.
